Entering cardistry competitions is a great way to practice and improve your cardistry and at the same time, have some fun! One of the greatest encouragement a cardist can get is to win or even place in a highly regarded competition such as the International Cardistry Open (ICO) or Cardistry-Con Championship (CCC). It means that others have seen your work and judged it worthy.
