Final Hours on Kickstarter, Bicycle Royale Playing Cards

Bicycle Royale is the latest deck in Elite's Signature Collection. The decks are inspired by the four royal families who laid claim to the throne and the deck tells the story of bloody battles, bravery, power, and death. These are signified in the use of the red/gold colorway on the deck.

The fully custom deck, from the aces and courts, features a symbolic design that tells of a golden age of sword-wielding warriors. Of gallantry and gold. Of shields breached by gilded scepters drawn. Golden fleur-de-lis and plumes of elegant feathers ripped from coats of arms of now-deceased family lines.

The opulent designs on the card back sit on blood-red as a homage to the casualties suffered on all sides.

2 decks are on offer during the campaign- Bicycle Royale and Bicycle Royale Premium Gold Edition. Both decks will be printed by the USPCC on the casino web press on Bicycle Classic crushed stock. Second in the Pi Slice Series- Chocolate Pi Playing Cards

Now available on kingswildproject.com, the second deck in the Kings Wild Pi Slice series, Chocolate Pi! The deck continues the series with a new fresh chocolate color scheme and 3D Embossed tuck case that will be sure to make anyone want to take a bite out of the deck!

The Chocolate Pi comes with fully custom face cards and a chocolate bar card backs. Consistent to the theme in the Pi series, the Ace of Spades, Jokers and pips on the face cards are updated with the circular design element.

The court cards feature an orange/chocolate colorway, giving the deck a more subtle but fun vibe. Also, the top left and bottom right of the face cards have been accentuated with an orange-colored corner, making fans and spreads look incredible.

First Look: Lock-n-Load Playing Cards by Rattle Shuttle

From Sci-Fi to the Wild West. The team at Rattle Shuttle is back on Kickstarter with a brand new deck of playing cards, Lock-n-Load. According to the campaign page,

This deck represents a big part of American history. It stands for the Second Amendment, which gave the right to keep and bear arms to citizens, which gave the power to citizens' hands. This made it easier for people to believe in democratic ideals, and it is one of the reasons why the United States of America had a strong start and is one of the biggest economic capitals of the world today. In 2021 the Second Amendment will be 230 years old. In celebration of that right, we created two decks that will accurately capture a piece of American history and the right of every American citizen.

Designed by Dmitry Lebedev, all of the face cards have carefully handcrafted imagery of guns that are accurate to their real-life examples. In terms of visual aesthetics, the engraving style of the illustration is common around the time when gun displays were popular.

The imagery of the Gadsden flag can be found on the back of the cards. Along with the timber rattlesnake, the back also includes the famous motto, "DONT TREAD ON ME".

The back was designed in a way to look new and different, but on the other hand, it reminds you of the deck you might find in your grandma's home. It looks familiar, like an old friend.

The colors on the cards are pretty subdued with the brown color- polished wood gun stock and gray colorway, gunmetal.

The deck is packaged in a tuck box with gold foil and embossing for the brown deck and silver for the gray one. The faces of both decks will include three colors - black, gold, and red for the brown one, and black, silver, and red for the gray one.

Cards will be printed on 310gsm stock German black core paper with premium linen. The deck is scheduled to launch on Kickstarter, 26th February.

Inside Cartamundi's EPIC House of Cardistry & Magic Event

Cartamundi hosted an EPIC night for the cardistry and magic community with its, House of Cardistry & Magic event that took place last night (February 23rd) at As Is NYC on 10th Avenue.

The first-of-its-kind event brought together some of the most recognizable names in the community from around the world to commemorate the major milestone for the company as they celebrate the recent acquisition of the United States Playing Card Company (USPC).

The goal of the House of Cardistry & Magic event is to not only celebrate the acquisition of USPC but also to celebrate the growth and evolution of the playing card industry as a whole.

Selling more than 170 million decks of cards annually, Cartamundi will continue to expand and support new and evergreen brands year after year. This includes brands such as Bicycle and Bee, which traditionally have brought people together through different games, magic tricks, and now through the captivating field of cardistry.

Both CEO of Cartamundi, Stefaan Merckx and President of USPC, Michael Slaughter are in attendance. Amongst some of the notable names spotted in the photos and on social media are, Lee Asher, Chris Ramsay, Cardsitry Touch, Kevin Reylek, Joshua Jay, Bill Kallush, Caroline Ravn, Ondrej Psenicka, Kevin Yu, and Chris Orbit Brown.

Also, two limited decks of cards in a special collector box set were given out to those attended.

Italia Divina: Discover Italy Through Playing Cards!

Italia Divina is Thirdway Industries' first Kickstarter of the year and it is already 200% funded with less than 14 days to go. This time, the gorgeous deck series merges travel guides and playing cards. According to designer Giovanni Meroni,

It's a sort of modern Oracle where beautiful City-Goddesses will guide you through the secrets of Italy.

There are 3 decks on offer during the campaign: the unlimited Italia Radiosa and Italia Segreta and the limited Italia Divina.

All three decks are fully custom and feature architecture design in the court cards. All courts are Goddesses that represent the most popular cities - every court is different and there are 24 different cities.

The list includes Roma, Milano, Firenze, Venezia, Bologna and many more. According to Giovanni,

This is the second project of mine that include all-female courts (the other is Eva).

Italia Segreta and Radiosa reveal a secret place about Italy in every pip card. The suits are the zones of Italy - Black suits are the northern part and the Red ones are southern. Giovanni teased,

The decks will have plenty of metallic inks, and Italia Divina will have foil on backs! This is the Metalluxe back USPCC sent me, I have just revealed it on my KS campaign.

Final Week on Kickstarter, Infinitum Playing Cards

An intriguing deck by the team at Elephant Playing Cards. Infinitum Playing Cards is a deck of playing cards that is both functional and beautiful. The fully Custom is inspired By The Futility Of Time and designed for the games enthusiast, the casual gamer, the collector and the cardist to be a staple go-to deck in any situation.

The deck combines elements of mortality and time to produce a dystopian infinite universe where endless power and greed (embodied by the Kings, Queens, and Aces) have not only figuratively but also literally consumed the very ones who dedicated their lives to its pursuit. This theme is vividly portrayed with intricate embossed foil, bright popping colors, luxurious metallic inks, and superb handling.
