Magician Ali Asfour, founder of Z Playing Cards Co. (Instagram: @zplayingcardsco) is planning to release a new deck series titled “Paths of Destruction” based on natural disasters of the world. The aim is to raise awareness and for people to learn about nature and the dangers of each disaster. There will be 8 decks in total, and the first one is currently LIVE on Kickstarter.
“Fury Playing Cards” is the first deck in the series, with volcanoes as the main theme. Designed by Noah Abdallah, the deck features a minimalist design with cartoon-style artworks, fit for use to do magic and cardistry. The back design features a black-gray color background with an orange border and two cartoon-style volcanoes, one on each side.
The court cards feature people with jobs related to volcanoes: from volcanologists to geologists. The Ace of Spades comes with a spade-shaped crystal rising out from a puddle of lava with the title logo of the deck. The Jokers are sample collectors wearing hazmat suit carrying a bucket of lava.
The deck will be available in two editions: Standard Edition and Special Edition. The Standard Edition will have the standard glossy tuck box, while the Special Edition comes with cards tucked in a premium matte tuck box with embossing and debossing along with metallic foils on the exterior and metallic ink on the interior. The Special Edition cards will be gilded with eye-catching red metallic foil!
Fury Playing Cards will be printed by WJPCC on Casino Quality Stock and pledges start at $16 on Kickstarter.
