Cyber West Playing Cards by Syndicate Games

Cyber West Playing Cards by Syndicate Games is a robot futuristic, western-themed playing cards currently seeking funds on Kickstarter. Crafted for the collectors in mind, the Cyber West is 100% custom with beautiful sci-fi artwork. The card backs are inspired by space-world technologies, and twisted lines of art pay homage to a futuristic atmosphere combined with a Native American style. Elements of the spaceship, cyborg, Indian chief, skull, and mechanical parts can be found perfectly infused into the sci-fi back design.

The custom pips on the face cards feature redesigned classical shapes into the cylinder rotating part of a revolver containing multiple chambers. The court cards showcase the most stereotypical portrayal of a cyborg- a person with visible added mechanical parts.

The deck is packaged in a fully hand-drawn embossed tuck box and adorned with stunning silver foil and comes with a sophisticated design: a mix of high-tech and old west details.

Printed by Noir Arts with Premium Linen Finish and available now for $12 on Kickstarter.

Red Fox Playing Cards Enchantment Puzzle Deck

Red Fox Playing Cards Enchantment Puzzle Deck is a beautifully hand-drawn deck of playing cards that comes with decoder glasses and doubles as a puzzle experience that plays in 60-90 minutes. Currently, on Kickstarter, the latest Red Fox Playing Cards is the fourth deck by husband and wife team Ricky and Kelly ten Hove.

This edition will be the first to be designed as a puzzle deck in addition to being a completely usable unmarked deck. Full of even more secrets than ever before, this deck has features and subtleties that tie it to the Red Fox brand yet is unique in its own ways and brings color and fun to your next card game night, and collectors cabinet. You can even have a puzzle night with friends to solve the clues using almost the entire deck and still end up with a fully usable deck of cards.

This fully custom hand-drawn deck comes with completely redesigned pips, courts, mirrored card backs, and tuck. Also, every deck will come with a pair of decoder glasses.

At first glance, the symmetric back design transforms into a one-way design when viewed with the unique decoder glasses that come with every deck.

Once the glasses are on, you will be transported into another world where you can enjoy an experience of solving a series of four puzzles using many cards in the deck that leads to an ultimate crescendo. This one-time experience will guide you to finding a secret treasure and is designed to last 60-90 minutes.

The deck is packaged in a beautiful wrap-around tuck box. Printed by USPCC on air-cushion stock. Print run of 2500 decks. Add-ons such as the Minimap, mini coins in the bottle, antique treasure gold coins, and poker chips are available during the Kickstarter campaign. Pledge starts at $8.

Eva Legendary Playing Cards by Thirdway Industries

This caught us by surprise! Thirdway Industries has launched a 3-day playing cards project on Kickstarter. Eva Legendary Playing Cards is a full-foiled playing cards about the First Women of the various cultures (Eva, Pandora, Pyrrha, and Lilith).

Eva Playing Cards is one Giovanni Meroni‘s most popular projects and was funded back in 2017. The series is focused on the “first women” of the various cultures: Pyrrha, Lilith, Pandora, and, of course, Eve. As such all courts in this fully custom deck series feature all-female courts.

There are two decks available in this campaign. According to Giovanni,

In 2022, I am producing two new decks of this series with Legends Playing Card Co. — with new artwork, full-bleed mylar foil on the front and back of the cards, and premium foiled/embossed tuck boxes. I have called these new “Legendary” decks Eva Celeste (Holo/blue) and Eva Splendida (Gold/violet).

Initially, these FULLY custom decks were originally meant to be released to TWI Patrons, but due to the popularity of the series, Giovanni decided to open a Kickstarter for the general public. The main feature of the 2022 Eva decks is the foil (Holographic on Celeste, Gold on Splendida) on both sides of the cards. They look absolutely STUNNING!

The decks are packaged in equally stunning tuck boxes with premium paper, foil, and embossing! The tucks are capped with a custom seal and are limited to 1500. Printed by our friends at Legends Playing Card Co. and pledge starts at $34 on Kickstarter.

Leaves Summer Edition Playing Cards

The Dutch Card House Company (DCHC) has launched the third edition of Leaves Playing Cards on Kickstarter . In 2020, DCHC introduced the first 2 editions of the Leaves Playing Cards- the Green Spring and the Red Autumn Leaves editions. The custom decks are eco-friendly and fully recyclable playing cards to support and help to protect the environment.

The Leaves Summer Edition features an ornament-looking layout of the back design, reminiscent of Summer, complete with small flowering details.

The court cards maintain their traditional designs but with an updated color scheme to make them fit in better with the overall summer theme of the deck. Together, this is perfect for card games, magic routines, and cardistry!

The jokers are identical and like in the Autumn Edition, one of them features a special 3 of hearts card reveal! The signature tree that was used in the previous editions has started to bloom together with busy bees in this Summer Edition!

The striking tuck box compliments the cards it holds inside. The leaves ornament runs from the front to the back of the box and can create a display with 3 boxes. Also, there will be NO plastic cello wrap in order to prevent the use of single-use plastics. So instead, DCHC will close the tuck of the Standard Edition with a custom-designed seal and a custom numbered seal for the Collector’s Edition.

Available now on Kickstarter for $12 and printed by the United States Playing Card Company using vegetable-based inks, each card is printed on sustainable forest paper and finished with starch-based laminating.

Artist Playing Cards, a Museum in your Pocket

It all started when NYU designer student Andrei Captan won 1st Place in an art competition in 2019 with his designs of Jacks, Queens, Kings, and Aces of each suit that represents an artistic movement. Encouraged by both judges and other students, Andrei went on to work on the deck, and now Artist Playing Cards are available on Kickstarter.

The tuck box featured an architectural drawing of a classical and modern building of an art museum. It gives the impression that the tuck box is the building and the cards are the exhibits of it. The box features a royal blue premium matte stock with gold foiling and embossed elements. It will be completed with interior foiled artwork and a custom seal.

Inside, the card back design reflects the artwork featured on the tuck- dark navy blue background with white linework of the architectural drawing of the art museum.

There are two identical jokers featuring the logo of the deck. The deck will include a blank card for magic uses or a blank canvas for art; and a “Special Thanks” card featuring a list of 52 backers that pledge the highest tier in the campaign.

Each suit represents an artistic movement in the history of art – Spades represent “Renaissance” – Hearts represent “Surrealism” – Clubs represent “Impressionism” – Diamonds represent “Expressionism”.

Both the courts and the Aces will have artworks that are based on the era represented. For example, Jack of Spades is painted to look like a fresco painting, and King of Clubs is painted in a similar art style as Van Gogh. The pips for each suit are also treated the same: customized pips based on the art era represented.

Printed by the USPCC, Artist Playing Cards starts at $15 for a single deck on Kickstarter.
