Kings Wild Project continues the literature playing cards series with Iliad playing cards. The Iliad is an ancient Greek epic poem attributed to Homer. Written around the 8th century B.C. is considered one of the oldest works of Western literature.
The poem, written in dactylic hexameter, contains 15,693 lines and encompasses 24 books. The poem is set during the Trojan War, where the Achaeans engage with the city of Troy in a ten-year battle.
The fully custom deck pays tribute to the epic poem with beautiful artwork… from the mirrored card backs, Ace of Spades, to the court cards and the diptych Jokers. All the face cards come with borders and frames colored according to the traditional red/black colors of their respective suits.
The terracotta-styled courts depict characters from the poem in all their glory- Achilles, Zeus, Hector, Hera, Athena, and more!
The cards come with a natural clay-like colorway, making them look aged yet elegant. Unlike the deck inside, the tuck comes in a black/white color combo prominently featuring Greek design element.
The deck is available NOW on kingswildproject.com for $18.
