Jazz. Music. Celebration.
Art of Play’s Tempo Playing Cards are inspired by the golden age of jazz. Designed by Michael Mateyko, each card features an Art Deco-style illustration that celebrates the spirit of improvisation and musical expression.
In the 1920s and 30s, a new style of music rapidly gained popularity in the United States and artists like Bessie Smith, Cab Calloway, Ella Fitzgerald, and Billie Holiday became household names.
Inside, the face cards beautifully captures the flair of classic jazz. The eye-catching courts depicts pianists, drummers, saxaphonist in a dynamaic black, blue, and yellow colorway. The number cards have been updated, giving them a playful, fun vibe.
Printed by The United States Playing Card Company on proprietary thin stock, each deck of Tempo playing cards comes packaged in a screen-printed, embossed and foil-stamped tuck case. Available now from Art of Play for $18.
