In 2013, an epic four-hour wait in Austin’s legendary Franklin BBQ line led Brad Fulton to witness the extraordinary logo identity system that perfectly complemented the culinary masterpiece and vibrant atmosphere.
With friendships forged with Stacy and Aaron, it became a splendid opportunity to immortalize this quintessential American brand through a bespoke card deck.
Conceived together with Dan Buck, this deck features illustrations by the OG himself, Dave Lamplugh—who did the original sauce bottle cartoons for Franklin. The iconic trademark logo, crafted by Blair Richardson, has proven its enduring appeal over time.
The back design pays homage to the beloved fiberglass lunch trays upon which countless patrons relished the finest BBQ globally. These trays now bear an inseparable connection to Franklin BBQ, transitioning into collectible items themselves.
