Now on Kickstarter, the Ten in One Black Collection is the latest addition to Dave Koenig’s vintage carnival-themed set of playing cards. If you missed the first edition in red and blue, here’s your chance to acquire them again, with a few new illustrations included.
The Ten in One Black Collection deck comes in a full-color double-sided custom tuck box with a smooth aqueous matte finish and a raised high gloss box effect. It includes a custom box seal and is shrink-wrapped for protection.
Inside, the face card features some of the twisted tails freak shows had to offer in the mid-1800s, from lion tamers to bearded queens, to snake charmers and scantily dressed contortionists. The detail of every face card tells a story.
This edition boasts a black box and a black card back, using the same material as the previous versions. The deck includes artwork featuring Clubs, Spades, Hearts, and Diamonds, along with Aces showcased in the main video. Additional artwork includes The Reaper, The Stanley Twins inspired by the Stanley Hotel, and The Jokers.
The deck will be printed by MPC on M31 Linen stock. The custom Tuck Box comes with T30 Smooth Aqueous (matte) and high gloss Box effect, sealed with a custom seal and shrink-wrapped for protection. Available NOW on Kickstarter for $25.
