Sushi Playing Cards, designed by June Muhlada and produced by Kings Wild Project, offer a stunning fusion of tradition and modern artistry. Inspired by the elegance and precision of Japanese cuisine, these decks embrace a refined, minimalist aesthetic with intricate detailing and clean lines.
June Muhlada, previously known as June Hyde, has been a key creative force at Kings Wild Project for nearly four years. Many will recognize her from the acclaimed Botany deck, and she has also played an essential role in the Table Players series and various apparel designs.
Three editions are available on Kickstarter, Norimaki, Nigiri, and Uramaki. All 3 features a unique back design while maintaining a consistent, beautifully crafted card face across all versions.
Designed for both collectors and players, the Sushi decks are available in two sizes: a standard version and a mini edition. The mini decks come in tuck boxes styled after different sushi types, while the standard-sized versions feature finely detailed tuck designs that reflect the elegant artistry of the back designs.
For collectors, all three mini decks can be housed in a specially designed Collector’s Drawer Box, which holds the decks securely in place. This collector’s set is available in both gilded and non-gilded versions, offering an exquisite way to showcase the series.
Whether displayed as part of a collection or used in play, these decks provide a visually striking experience that blends cultural inspiration with impeccable craftsmanship.
Pledge starts at $10 on Kickstarter.
