Less Than 48 Hours Remaining! Cyberpunk Mythos Playing Cards

Vermilion Collection is back with another cool project. Now funding on Kickstarter, Cyberpunk Mythos Playing Cards is by far the most ambitious the team has done. This new series is a collection of decks combining Chinese mythology with cyberpunk subculture.

There are a total of six decks in total for the series: a few of them can be distinguished from the cards design and the box design. Every deck feature a total of 30 mythical entities described in Shan Hai Jing, a compilation of Chinese mythic geography and creatures.

These are then combined with the technological designs of the cyberpunk subculture, creating futuristic landscapes roamed by mechanical creatures. Every court cards feature these beasts, as well as the Jokers which are made into a diptych artwork.

Sanzu Jinwu features the Three-Legged Golden Crow, available in Red and Blue editions. The back design showcases a bird trapped in a cage inside a laboratory. There are broken elements on the four corners of the card, creating a visual fanning. 

Jiu Wei features the Nine-Tails Fox. This deck is specifically made for cardistry, hence it will on one custom design on the face card. The back design features a mirrored illustration of the titular creature peeking down onto the bright central core. 

The front design features a robotic pillar in the center with the fox running along it on both sides. Showcasing a vibrant combo of pink and purple, both front and back will have beautiful fanning artwork. The tuck box comes with hot-stamped holographic foil with embossing. 

Fusang and Penglai feature Ying Long the winged serpent dragon, found on the diptych Jokers. Both decks feature a tuck box for the Collector’s Edition that can be extended. The incredible artwork of a mechanical lab towering up to the heavens is clearly visible in the Penglai edition. 

Inside, the Fusang cards will have a darker color palette, while Penglai cards have a brighter colorway. The Penglai edition comes with a stunning full-bleed holographic silver cold foiling. Both Fusand and Penglai Collector’s Edition will have cards gilded with holographic silver foil with stripe effect for Penglai, and a matrix effect for Fusang.

The David deck fuses elegance and the world of art! These decks pay homage to iconic sculptures like Michelangelo’s David. The beautiful tuck case features intricate and elegant embossing.  Both thematically and visually, it instantly evokes the world of sculpture.

Inside, the cards maintain the theme of pure elegance, with unified colors across all suits. To elevate the luxury and accentuate the theme silver metallic ink is used. The court cards depict various famous sculptures, each one carefully selected for its artistic beauty and significance.

From the intricate details of Michelangelo’s David to the timeless elegance of Venus by Milo, these cards celebrate the masterpieces that have captivated art enthusiasts for centuries.

Deck View: Enigma (Torch Red Edition) Playing Cards

Created by Enigma Cards Enigma (Torch Red Edition) Playing Cards spots a striking red colorway. This intriguing deck has been meticulously crafted for both cardists and magicians in mind. Like the original Enigma deck, the card backs feature horizontal traces that were created to maintain and enhance the motion of card flourishes. At the same time, the back hides the marking system of the deck.

The deck comes with custom aces, 2 reveal cards, and instead of black ink, the custom face cards have been updated to cherry purple and the red colors have been updated with a more striking torch red to keep the balance between colors.

Printed by Cartamundi on their silky smooth True Linen B9 finish and will be limited to an initial print run of 2000.

Final Days on Kickstarter, Old World Playing Cards

Anthony Jhoni of Purely Idea takes pride in creating bold and innovative playing cards. Since 2017, Anthony has amazed people with amazing ideas on playing cards projects- Immortals with their imbued puzzle quest and Greek mythology-inspired and Vitrum with their 3D Laser-Engraved Metal Plated Box with Built-In LED lights and installed RFID numbered chip. Now, Purely Idea has come back with another crowd-funded playing cards project with a puzzle quest. Introducing Old World Playing Cards, the treasure hunt puzzle quest decks.

Inspired by the Golden Era of Pirates, the series features three main editions: the Sun, the Moon, and the Star. Each deck represents a different adventure in a pirate’s life: the Sun tells about the dawn of the era, the Moon tells about the struggle in a pirate’s life, and the Star tells about the end of the era. The decks are only made of 500 sets: 400 sets will be the standard edition, while 100 sets will be the gilded, each of the editions is gilded according to the color of the foils of the decks.

The card back design features an intricate border with a circular map and sailing pirate ships. The circular border around the map is designed like a compass rose. You can find symbols referencing the era of Pirates in the Caribbean: the crown, the sword and pistol, the anchor, and the ship’s wheel. The artwork on the card back design is done with metallic foil.

All of the Aces feature custom illustrations of enlarged pip, each presenting stories of the Golden Age of pirates. The Courts are featuring characters both from the Royal Navy family to the ruthless Pirates – Only the Hearts courts are part of the Royal Navy, while the rest are all Pirates. 

The Number Cards feature customized pips, and that’s not all – the cards from 2 to 10 will have map fragments behind the pips. Combining them will form a map, which is part of the puzzle quest that is specially designed for the decks.

The tuck box features beautiful artwork of a pirate’s map with a scroll showing the title and a compass. The front of each edition varies: the Sun features growing vines with the sun symbol in gold foil – the Moon features waves of the sea with the moon symbol in silver foil – the Star features puffs of clouds with the star symbol in bronze foil.

The artwork of the box will also have embossing to make it pops out. The numbered print serial will be shown as a seal located on the bottom of the box. The set comes in a collector’s box made with a hard cardboard case with gold foiled artwork, able to store three decks.

CHAO (Vermilion Red Edition) Playing Cards

Make Playing Cards‘ CHAO (Vermilion Red Edition) playing cards feature historical and notable characters throughout China’s history. Inside there are 14 characters, 12 for the custom royal court portraits and the jokers. The four pips represent a dynasty in China’s history: Han, Tang, Ming and Qing. Each character appears in the style of their representative dynasty.

The eye-catching red tuck box prominently features Chao in Mandarin (pronunciation for Dynasty), written as 朝. The tuck box is embossed and adorned in stunning gold foil. Printed by MPC on M32 Linen air finish with special varnish.

Final Hours on Kickstarter, Prestige Radiance Playing Cards

Gamblers Warehouse is back with a stunning project on Kickstarter, Prestige Radiance Playing Cards, a deck of playing cards that embodies sheer sophistication and exquisite craftsmanship. There are three main editions available during the campaign: Black, White and Red. Each edition is limited to only 900 decks.

The tuck box features beautifully detailed artwork done in gold foiling. The front side shows the title of the deck with the intricate Spades pip within an elaborate framework. Not only will the artworks have foiling, but it will also be combined with raised embossing, making them stand out.

The card back design features artwork of an intricate luxurious framework with a central element of the sun. It shows up the radiance from the centre, just like the name of the deck. The back has full background color according to the edition respectively:
