A 👀 PEEK into the illustration process of last year’s National #CardCollectionDay deck. It starts out with an initial sketch for composition to gauge how tight or loose textures and patterns are going to be. Then I follow with a light pencil sketch to plan for accuracy and details (nose modeling, line spacing). Finally we finish up with inking and contouring (making lines thicker or thinner to create shading effects). It’s definitely WAY slower than an average illustrator’s workflow but it’s something.
