With over 18 playing cards projects, Jody Eklund is back with another luxury deck, Eminence Playing Cards. This eye-catching deck is inspired by elegance and royalty and currently seeking funds on Kickstarter.
Inside, the back design features an illustration of a golden frame made up of lots of filigree patterns. There is a two-way image of a winged lion sitting on a pillar in the center of the back design. All of the Aces featured enlarged customized pips on top of the circular frame.
The Ace of Spades is the illustration of the spade pip guarded by two winged lions sitting on a pedestal that bears the deck’s name. The pips for this deck are also custom designed.
The courts are illustrated by royal characters in a King’s court – all of them adorned with royal clothing with gold elements. The gold color for the artwork on this deck is done as gold metallic ink. The Jokers feature a mirrored custom vintage illustration of a fool juggling different colored balls.
The cards are packaged in a premium matte tuck box with gold hot foil stamping and 3D embossing! There are two editions of the deck: Sapphire and Jasper Edition. The Sapphire Edition is the standard deck, with blue as the main color for its tuck box and the background color of the card back.
The Jasper Edition is the limited edition, with red as the primary color for its tuck box and the background color of the card back. Additionally, the Jasper Edition cards will be gilded with gold foil and the tuck box will have a custom-numbered seal.
Both decks will be printed by Legends Playing Card Co. on casino-grade stock with a classic finish. Pledge starts from $17 for the Sapphire Edition or $40 for the Jasper Edition on Kickstarter.
