French designer Olivier Leoncini of Kardeck has a passion for combining the futuristic technology of sci-fi with ancient mythologies coming from different civilizations. His previous deck series with this theme: Akheton and Zodiakai, were both successfully crowd-funded and loved by the community. Now, Kardeck is ready to introduce another mix-up. Introducing KLEOS Playing Cards, a deck series that mixed Greek mythology with sci-fi.

There are two main editions of the deck series: NYX and EOS, both representing evil and good respectively. NYX edition features premium black paper with diamond orange foil and silver sparkling holographic foil.

EOS edition features premium white paper with diamond blue foil and gold sparkling holographic foil. Both editions will feature a custom silver numbered seal. The tuck box features the artwork of the Corinthian helmet and Athena’s Owl.

The pips for the deck are also customised, each representing a mythical relic of the gods. All of the Aces come with intricate borders with a slightly enlarged pip.

Inside, the face cards feature original illustrations of the Greek pantheon of gods and goddesses along with mythological beasts. The courts showcase 12 Greek deities known as the Gods of the Olympians.

Each deck includes two different jokers – In the NYX edition, the jokers feature Medusa and Minotaur, while in the EOS edition, the jokers feature Pegasus and Hydra.

The back design features two symmetrically opposed flying Owls of Athena above the intricate sci-fi pattern. When both owls are viewed, it forms the head of the Minotaur. NYX edition features a darker colour scheme, while the EOS edition features a brighter colour scheme.

Printed on Classic Finish by Legends Playing Card Co. Pledge starts at $25 for a single deck on Kickstarter.
