Now seeking funds on Kickstarter, Bones Playing Cards is the first of Brain Vessel’s Artist Series Playing Cards and features the fasinating artwork of Jason Kreiger, illustrator of Brain Vessel’s Seven Seas Playing Cards and Seven Seas Master Collection.

With tones of nature and mysticism, Bones is an exploration into the underlying structure of all living things. Jason incorporates a variety of different mediums and styles into his artwork, including traditional pen and ink, stippling, ink brushwork, charcoal and digital line work that adheres to a unifying black, white and grey approach. Here are 5 things you should know about Bones Playing Cards:

1. This is the first of Brain Vessel’s Artist Series Playing Cards. According to Jason, “With our Artist Series we will be introducing handpicked artist we’ve featured in our Art Gallery and help them create custom playing cards with their artwork while adhering to our strict quality standards. This allows artists to expose their art to a wider audience through playing cards.”

2. Bones playing cards features the personal art of Jason Kreiger, the original illustrator of the Seven Seas Playing Cards. Jason showcased his Bones Art Series last October at Brain Vessel Art Gallery. He uses a variety of different mediums and styles, including traditional pen and ink, stippling, ink brushwork, charcoal and digital line work. There are two editions to the Bones series: the Dust edition which is in line with Kreiger’s dark blackwork style and the Rebirth edition which adds more earthy tones and hints of color.

3. Bones will have the same quality and production as our previous Seven Seas Playing Cards. “We will be using USPCC to print our decks and they will be hand packed and sent out through Brain Vessel Gallery. With a limited run as well as limited distribution, we continue to make playing cards that are collectible and grow in value as more sell out.”

4. The next artist in the lineup for the Artist Series Playing Cards is Casey Hall. “She produces amazing oil paintings of motors and automobiles. Her playing card deck will focus on motorcycles and motorcycle engines. Keep an eye out for this future release.”

5. Brain Vessel is not only a playing card company. “We are also an Art Gallery and Branding company. We’ve been allowed to grow as a business through the success of our previous playing card Kickstarter campaigns and now use our skills to help artist and businesses alike.”

Two editions are available during the campaign, the Dust Edition and Rebirth Edition. Pledge starts from $13 and limited Edition art-print, dealer coin, leather pounch, and t-shirt are available as add-ons. Check out the Kickstarter campaign here!
