There are two main variations for this captivating deck series: Obsidian and Pearl. Obsidian uses a dark color scheme, while Pearl uses a light color scheme. There are two editions for each color: Standard Edition with classic designs, and Special Edition with more elaborate designs. In order to acquire the exclusive “Treasure of Blackbeard” deck, players must successfully solve the interactive puzzle presented to them.
The tuck boxes for decks are made using premium matte stock with two colors of hot foiling. Obsidian uses black color with gold and silver foil, while Pearl uses white with gold and black foil. The Standard Edition box features a classic design. The Special Edition box features a 3D Pop-Up of a pirate ship with a deck sleeve.
The card’s back design showcases a captivating two-way illustration of the Jolly Roger skull with a compass in the center. It is an animated back: when the cards are riffled, the compass will move its pointer.
The face design varies from both Standard and Special Edition. In the standard edition, the Number Cards have a custom pip layout with illustrations related to Blackbeard.
In the Standard Edition, the courts showcase captivating two-way illustrations depicting daring skeleton pirates. In Special Edition, all the background features pieces of a large map to be combined to form one big map.
The Special Edition courts showcase incredible illustrations of legendary locations and magical creatures inspired by the tales of Blackbeard. Also, this “map” features hidden UV elements which can be revealed using a black light.
